First of all, we couldn't remember which building we were supposed to go to, so we drove the way our neighbor had told us, and went into the first church building we saw. Wrong one. So we continued up the road to the next one. Bingo. Less than 1.5 minutes from the first one, probably about 5 minutes from our house. Whew.
Anyway, about the ward... A friend stated it best, "In this ward, there are more babies than adults." And he meant literal babies (not like we would joke about in the branch). I had noticed in Sacrament meeting, that the room seemed emptier than I had thought it would be. Then I realized, it wasn't that it was empty, it was just that we couldn't see the little heads over the back of the pews. It was entertaining, but definitely served to distract from the monotone speakers. Also? Getting used to 9AM church may take some doing. :-)
Sunday school was huge. We learned that where we sit is going to be rather important, if we want to a) hear, and b) pay attention. My short attention span and lots of children coming in and out don't go well together. :-)
Relief society was pretty good though. We had a great lesson. I still missed the branch though. But, I realize, it doesn't matter. What was, was, and now, we just have to get involved in this ward and hope for the best.
Otherwise, Utah is pretty good. Class starts Wednesday (aaaah!!) and I'd feel a whole lot better about it if I knew what I was going to do on Wednesday. :-) That's what Tuesday is for, right?
And I promise, one of these days, I'll get pictures up. Here or on Facebook, but I will.
