This weekend was great. Even though it started off by me working until 10:30 Friday night, followed by a midnight trip to the grocery store (WinCo rocks my socks!!!)
We woke up on Saturday morning, did a little cleaning, and rolled on up to Park City, where a good friend of mine from college, Chia, was visiting her sister. I love the fact that so many of my friends end up visiting Utah, for whatever random reason. And when they do, they make time to see me!! Yay for friends! :-)
Chia was baby-sitting her sister's kids while her sister and brother-in-law ran 41 miles. Insane. Anyway, we went up and helped her baby-sit... ie. played with the kids in the awesome gym they go to. We had a *great* time in the foam pit. Probably better than the kids!
After watching the first period of the Flyers-Canadiens game (Let's Go Flyers!! clap, clap, clap-clap-clap!), we headed back south from Park City and got the house ready for the party that Dave, Andrew, and I were hosting. Rather than refer to it as a party, I'd like to think of it more as a gathering of people who have somehow, oddly, ended up in Utah. Anyway, we had a great time reconnecting (or connecting for the first time) with people. It's great to be in a new place, but still feel like we've got some people to chillax with (ha. I just said "chillax".) Pathetically, I forgot to use my camera and take pictures of the fabulous people who joined us for the "What? Utah?" gathering, but here are a few more pictures of our house, as we continue to get it in order.
The sole picture of guests at the party is this one...
At least it's a good one! :-)
Yay I can see the little cow in the bedroom :)
ReplyDeleteCracking up that you have your bookshelf crammed full again... at least the books are ON a shelf tho, kudos to you on that one.
Cute apartment, we are looking forward to visiting it at some point in our lives :)
of course the cow's there! and now i can tell people that i've started my food storage. :-)
ReplyDeletere: the books, andrew had a lot too! we brought a huge bookcase from his house and, sure enough, everything's filled. *sigh*
come visit soooooon! :-)
So fun to see you guys--twice in less than a month, right? That's better record than the last stretch in Delaware. :)
